There’s no place like Cyclone Wasteland.
The Spring/Summer 2014 collection “Cyclone Wasteland” is inspired by the Oz books, the film Return to Oz, Mad Max and the art of Alphonse Mucha. It is a warrior princess fantasy in leather and chiffon. This collection evokes strength and feminity and features shirt dresses, maxi dresses, fit and flare dresses and rompers. The color story for this collection is sage green, sky blue, bone, rust, poppy, burnt umber, cream, slate and black. This collection is accompanied by custom headpieces made specifically for this collection by the collaborative efforts of Seattle-based milliner APATICO and Minneapolis leather-working team ARTIST BUILT. In her tradition of bringing in independent artists to design a new print each season, a custom fabric print by APATICO owner MEGAN BISHOP was designed specifically for this collection.
